Game Settings

All configurable settings across moderator mode, narrated mode and online mode. These are controlled by the game host before starting a match.

Role Reveal on Death

When a player dies, is their role shown to everyone

Defaults - moderator: Always - reveal on any death · online: Always - reveal on any death · narration: Always - reveal on any death

  • Always - reveal on any death - Roles revealed on any death.
  • Lynch only - reveal when voted out - Roles shown only on lynch, not night kills.
  • Never - keep all roles secret - Roles never revealed until game over.

Day 1 Introduction

Short introduction day before the first night

  • On - Short introduction day before the first night
  • Off - Skip introductions, go straight to night

Parity Win

Mafia wins by reaching equal numbers with Town, unless Town can still come out of a night ahead. When off, a faction must fully eliminate all others to win

  • On - Mafia wins by reaching equal numbers with Town, unless Town can still come out of a night ahead - games end faster.
  • Off - A faction must fully eliminate all opponents to win - longer games.

Trial Timing

When trials happen.

Defaults - moderator: By Nomination

  • By Nomination - 2 players are needed to send a suspect to trial - tap the suspect's name once per call. If found innocent, the day continues - more trials may follow.
  • End-of-Day Vote - No nominations - everyone votes together at the end of every day. The top vote-getter is lynched.

Hide Role List (from players)

Hide the role list from players on their own phones (QR scan)

Defaults - moderator: Off

  • On - Players don't see the role list on their own phones.
  • Off - Players see the full role list on their own phones.

Last Words

Give a condemned player 10 seconds to speak after the room votes them guilty.

Defaults - narration: On

  • On - A condemned player gets 10 seconds to speak before the body is revealed.
  • Off - No last words - a guilty verdict goes straight to the reveal.

Day 1 Introduction

A short first day to introduce yourselves - no votes, skip when ready - then a full first night.

  • On - A short first day to introduce yourselves - no votes, skip when ready - then a full first night where everyone acts.
  • Off - Straight into Night 1 - the teams still meet each other and the Cop still investigates, but nobody dies on the first night.

Action Time

How long players get to choose their action after the narrator finishes speaking.

Defaults - narration: 8s

  • 8s - Tight - for a table that knows the roles and wants the night to move.
  • 12s - Enough time to read the room and choose without rushing.
  • 15s - Relaxed - for new players, or a big table where names take longer to find.
